Look #3 is a vintage-inspired velvet mini dress. The dress is adorned with delicate lace trim, a charming bow, and beaded embroidery. The addition of puff sleeves lends a touch of whimsy, completing the ensemble with a perfect balance of sophistication and playfulness.

Design Process
To design this dress I created a paper pattern, using pattern manipulation. I then brought the pattern into Vstitcher. When stitching the pattern together, I had to make fit updates to remove pressure and excess fabric.

After making updates in Vstitcher, I created a sample of the dress. This sample had a lot of fit issues on my fit model.
To find a size that worked for my fit model, I graded the pattern and created an avatar with my model’s measurements.
Using the graded pattern and the fit model avatar, I adeptly addressed and resolved fit issues, ultimately refining and perfecting the design.
