Design Process
When creating this look, I used flat pattern manipulation techniques to design the turtleneck, skirt, and jacket. While the skirt and turtleneck achieved the desired outcome without the need for further adjustments after creating sample garments, the jacket demanded a more nuanced approach. In order to achieve the right fit and style, I widened the sleeves and cuffs, enlarged the armscye, reduced the size of the collar, and lengthened the shoulder seam.
